The Sangamon Watercolor Society has a beautiful and creative new show here at the Library through the month of November. With twenty-one accomplished artists from around the Springfield area, this show is outstanding. Two of the artists, Carolyn Owen Sommer and Kate Worman-Becker teach classes so you can have the opportunity to talk with them about taking a class at the reception. One of our artists, Aneita Gates is a signature member of the Transparent Watercolor Society, which is a national organization; they all have paintings in this show

With a dedication to providing creative learning experiences in watercolor and design, the Sangamon Watercolor Society meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00. There is an ongoing exhibit at the Hoogland Center for the Arts, on Sixth Street in Springfield, in the Third Floor Boardroom.
