Carrying a Firearm on Library District Property

Illinois Law prohibits a Concealed Carry Licensee from carrying any firearm, concealed or partially concealed, on or into any building, real property or parking area under the control of the Chatham Area Public Library District. In conformance with State Law, the Library District will clearly and conspicuously post at all entrances to the building, driveways and parking areas of the Library District the required signs as approved by the Illinois State Police stating that the carrying of a firearm on Library District property is prohibited. Any violators will be reported to law enforcement.
