To connect to library wi-fi: Turn on the wireless radio in your laptop or other portable device. If it does not detect and associate with our network automatically, manually try to connect to the Library's wireless network (chathaml).
A coin operated black and white copier is located next to the circulation desk. To copy charges start at $0.15 per copy.
A white projector is available for checkout. This would be ideal for computers and laptops. Please inquire at the front circulation desk for further infomation.
A typewriter is located in the typing room on the West side of the building.
The Library’s Fax number is 1-217-483-2361. The Library offers free cover sheets for faxes. The fees are:
· Toll-free numbers: No charge
· In-state numbers: $1.00 per page
· Out-of-state numbers: $2.00 per page
· Received faxes: $1.00 per page
The Library does not offer international faxing.
Microfilm Readers and Printer
Two microfilm readers are located in the Opal Lee Chatham Local History Room. One is connected to a computer to allow patrons to crop, save and print their materials.
A scanner/copier is available for use in the computer lab and the Opal Lee Chatham Local History Room that is capable of scanning/coping up to 11 x 17. They are connected to desktop computers that have software that allows scanning of photos, documents and other items. There is no charge to use the scanner, only for printing.
The Library has a magnifier that can be used in the Library. It is located in the typing room (next to the study rooms on the West side of the building).
